I run a lot or at least I would love to run a lot more but I have bad shin splints, what can I do to overcome them?
They really hurt when I run is there some kind of inner sole you can recommend or some type of treatment I can do in order for it to go away.
Shin splints occur as a function of biomechanical problems of the foot. The muscles of the shin have to decelerate the foot as the heel hits the ground, and in your case, your muscles have to do more work than necessary. Usually orthotics help this condition, so get some made to fit you - In my experience, custom made orthotics work significantly better than off the shelf devices - in contrast to what the makers of such devices as Superfeet would have you believe. I advise you to take care of this because failure to do so might result in stress fractures.
