Sheila - the long leg will develop several biomechanical compensations as you
try to "shorten it". As a result, it will be more susceptable to injury. My
advice - put a half inch lift in the shoe of the short leg, and you will
equalize the leg lengths and avoid the development of problems. The repetitive
punding of running will hurt the long leg before the short leg.
