Description

The Lakewood SummerFEST Triathlon is a fun and competitive race open to adults 15 years and older.

The course consists of:
*1⁄2 -mile swim starting and ending from shore;
*14-mile bike course looped through the streets of Lakewood, Steilacoom and Pierce County and;
*3.1-mile loop course.


It will start at 9:00am at American Lake Park and end at Fort Steilacoom Park. Athletes set up their equipment in a designated "Transition Area" They will begin the race from the lakeshore. After completing their swim, athletes move to the transition area to grab bikes, helmets, and other gear and begin the bike portion of the race. The bike course will end in a second transition area at which time athletes leave their bikes and begin the run loop. The finish line will be within Steilacoom Park.
