Just ran the Vegas Marathon this past Sunday. Very nice race, very fast course, for those of you looking for a qualifying time. First 9 miles are rolling, mostly a slight uphill grade. Next 9 miles are a very nice gradual descent. Last 8.2 are flat and fast. Well run, nice expo, nice finisher's medals for both half and full m'thon. Not much crowd support until the last few miles, hardly any for the first 10 miles. The half is even faster than the full because it starts on the down grade and goes through the flat, so no uphill whatsoever. Fun afterparty at Studio 54 in the MGM Grand. Clydesdale division for us big folks! Results were on the web the next day with apologies for not having them up night of the race. Fun town to recover in. Overall, I'd say it's worth it, and a great place to qualify for Boston, although the date is a little close to Boston for those who qualify.
