What a great day for a race; sunny, not too warm, and
fantastic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains.
My experience suggests this was a well organized event,
with the only problems being the start and the streets.
Of course, you can’t do anything about the City of Seattle’s
street paving schedule (other than hope they are finished
by next year), but maybe the starting area could be better
managed? It was much too crowded and nobody could move
back when requested. Pace signs might help spread people
out more, for those considerate enough to place themselves
at their expected pace. There will always be jerks who
insist that their entry fee entitles them to line up
wherever they want, but I think the majority will comply.
Anyway, great day; great race! Thanks to the Edgewater,
all the sponsors, and especially the terrific volunteers.
PS - Any word on when race results will be posted?
Perhaps next year’s event could use the other major timing
service, since they also seem to post the next day!
