Important event information for the Firecracker Triathlon/Duathlon & Footraces & Kids race, July 4, 2009
| TIME: | ADULTS: 10:00 A.M. KIDS: 11:45 p.m. Packet pick starts at 8:45 a.m. and goes until 9:45 a.m. morning of the race.

| PLACE: | Elma, WA @ Vance Creek Park

| DISTANCE: | TRIATHLON: 250 meter swim, 13 mile bike, 3 mile run
DUATHLON: 2 mile run, 13 mile bike, 2 mile run KIDS: 25 yard swim or wade, 3/4 mile bike, 1/4 mile run. FOOTRACES: 10K, 5K & 1 mile

| COURSE: | The course is 90 percent flat and great for beginners and veterans. The 10K, 5K and 1 mile are also out and back all flat with aide stations. TRI/DU: SWIM, Out and back along a buoy line in a small man-made lake. Wetsuits are highly recommended but not required.
Water temps will be around 65 degrees. BIKE: Out and back mostly flat the no big hills or dangerous turns. RUN: Out and back all flat with aide stations. KIDS: All in the park on paved trails. Individuals or 2/3 person teams in the triathlon or
duathlon.

| AGE GROUPS: | 0-5, 6-10, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 up. Also team divisions of male, female and mixed.

| ENTRY FEES: | See entry form. Online sign up at www.signmeup.com/64522 for the footraces and
www.signmeup.com/64521 for the triathlon, duathlon and the kids mini-tri.

| AWARDS: | Top 7 overall in the triathlon, both male and female will receive trophies. Top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals. Top 3 overall in the duathlon will receive trophies. Top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals. NOTE: If you don't receive a
n age group award you will receive a finisher medal. KIDS: All finishers will receive a
neck medal. Also 2/3 team divisions of male, female and mixed. Overall winners of the running races will receive trophies. Top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals.

| T-SHIRTS: | All entrants will receive a designer short sleeve firecracker day shirt unless the no shirt box is checked. You can also order an extra short sleeve shirt, tank top,
long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt. You can also upgrade to a tank top, long
sleeve shirt or a sweat
shirt. All garments are 100 percent cotton and are preshrunk. Sizes are Adult small, medium, large, XL and 2XL. Children, small, medium, large and extra-large.

| DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS: | From the north take I-5 south to Olympia take hwy 101 north, and turn left towards the ocean beaches. Follow to Elma and turn left over the freeway. Turn right on Wenzelslough road and follow to park on the right side.
From the south take I-5 north to exit 88B and go west on hwy 12, follow to Elma and turn left onto hwy 8. Take the first exit and go left over the freeway. Turn right on Wenzelslough road and follow a 1/2 mile to the park on the right.

| OTHER INFO: | 10TH Annual forth of July celebration with lots of
post race food and drink. There will be ham, turkey and cheese sandwiches along with cookies, donuts, chips, fruit and veggies. There will also be bottled water and soda to drink after the event. Results will
be posted at www.ontherunevents.com and www.racecenter.com.
