Important event information for the Firecracker Triathlon/Duathlon, Kid's mini-tri & Footraces, Friday July 4, 2008
| TIME: | ADULTS: 10:00 a.m. KIDS MINI-TRI: 11:45 a.m. Packet pickup starts at 8:45 a.m. and goes until 9:45 a.m.

| DISTANCE: | TRI: 250 meter swim, 13 mile bike, 3 mile run. DU: 2 mile run, KIDS: 25 yard swim or wade, 3/4 mile bike, 1/4 mile run FOOTRACES: 15K, 10K, 5K, 1 mile & kids dash

| COURSE: | SWIM: Out and back in a small man made lake, with water temps in the mid 60's. Wetsuits are not required but recommended. BIKE: Out and back all flat on paved, scenic, country roads with few turns. RUN: All flat out and back with aide stations of water and gatorade. KIDS: All inside the park on a paved bike path. FOOTRACES: Out and back all flat on paved, country roads with aide stations every 1 1/2 miles. Course is perfect for beginners or veterans. INDIVIDUALS OR 2/3 PERSON TEAM FOR THE TRIATHLON OR DUATHLON.

| AGE GROUPS: | 0-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 up. Also team divisions in of male, female and co-ed in the triathlon and duathlon.

| AWARDS: | Top 7 overall in the triathlon both male and female will receive trophies. Top 3 overall both male and female in the duathlon will receive trophies. Overall winners in all footraces will receive trophies. Top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals. NOTE:
If you don't receive an age group award you will receive a finisher medal. KIDS: All finishers will receive a neck medal.

| T-SHIRTS: | All entrants will receive a short sleeve shirt unless the no t-shirt option is checked. You can order an extra short sleeve shirt, tank top or longsleeve shirt. You can also upgrade to a tank top or longsleeve shirt. All garments are 100 percent cotton and are
preshrunk. Sizes are small, medium, large and XL in both adults and children.

| DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS: | From the south on I-5 take EXIT 88B and head west on hwy 12. Follow to Elma and take Hwy 8 west. Take the first exit and go left over the freeway. Turn right on Wenzelslough road. Follow to park 1/4 mile up on the right. From the north go south on I
-5 towards Olympia and take Hwy 101 north. Follow to Hwy 8 and head west towards the ocean. Take the second Elma exit and go left over the freeway. Turn right on Wenzelslough road and follow to Vance Creek Park on the right.

| OTHER INFO: | 10th annual independence day celebration with lots of postrace food. There will be ham, turkey and cheese sandwiches along with lots of other goodies. There will also be fruits and veggies to munch on after the race. Cold bottled water and other drinks will a
lso be available after the race. RESULTS: Will be available after the race and be posted at www.ontherunevents.com and www.racecenter.com.
