This certified scenic course incorporates the Woodland Trail Bike Path and the Chehalis Western Trail. The start is near the finish on 5th Ave. at Heritage Park.

Finisher's Awards are made of NW Red Alder and laser engraved on a 3 x 3 inch surface, totally sustainable and American manufactured.
Lakefair Run/Walk 8k and 3k
The course will encircle Capital Lake passing views of the Olympic Mts. Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. The 3k will encircle lower Capitol Lake. (see
map)
$35- with tech shirt through 7/9, then $40-
$10- without tech shirt through 7/9, then $15-
3k for kids 14 and under is free - Tee shirt is extra $20- must register - if on line there will be a small processing fee.
No guaranteed day of race tee shirt, but some may be available

There will be registration for 8,3k only, at South Sound Running, in Olympia, beginning at noon on Friday July 20, 2012 and on the day of race (8,3k only)
10:00 or sooner -Awards ceremony at the stage in Heritage Park
Packet pickup:
Friday July 20, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at South
Sound Running
Saturday July 21, 5:45 AM in Heritage Park at the Lakefair Stage.
Who benefits:
Olympia, Tumwater, Black Hills, Capital, North Thurston, Timberline, and River Ridge High Schools Track and or Cross Country teams may choose to benefit from this event. Kids 14 and under run the 3k for free
- our donation to the future running community. Money from this race was used to develop the Harbor Days Relays
- which provides money to the Cross Country Coaches Association Scholarship Fund and in future the development Track and Field and Road Racing Officials organization for Thurston County.
Last year if a participant registered online they could choose to donate to: Big Brothers, Big Sisters of SW WA, Capital
Lakefair, Capitol Land Trust, Hands on Children's Museum and the Swarthout Foundation. We hope to see some of our runners challenge others to be part of these worthy causes. If your group would like to be part of this program let us know by e mailing:

We are the Lake Run Organization (LRO) We are a non - profit, 501c3, RRCA Event organization dedicated to maintaining and developing running as an activity for all ages. We currently direct the Lakefair Run, The Harbor Days Relays and the Capital Invite Citizen's Race.
