This certified scenic course incorporates the Woodland Trail Bike Path and the Chehalis Western Trail. The finish is shaded with an interactive fountain and a beer garden just steps away.

We will do registration at South Sound Running Olympia on Friday noon until we reach run out of medals. The no tee will be the only option at this point. No day of race for half.
Finisher’s Awards are made of NW Red Alder and laser imprinted on a 3 x 3 inch surface, totally sustainable and American manufactured.
Lakefair Run/Walk 8k and 3k
The course will encircle Capital Lake passing views of the Olympic Mts. Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. The 3k will encircle lower Capitol Lake. (see

$35- with tech shirt through 7/9, then $40-
$10- without tech shirt through 7/9, then $15-
3k for kids 14 and under is free – Tee shirt is extra $20- must register – if on line there will be a small processing fee.
Kids are eligible for division awards and chip timing.
No guaranteed day of race tee shirt, but some may be available

19, 2013 and on the day of race (8,3k only)

Who benefits:
Olympia, Tumwater, Black Hills, Capital, North Thurston, Timberline, and River Ridge High Schools Track and or Cross Country teams may choose to benefit from this event. Kids 14 and under run the 3k for free – our donation to the future running community. Money from this race was used to develop the Harbor Days Relays – which provides money to the Cross Country Coaches Association Scholarship Fund and in future the development Track and Field and Road Racing Officials organization for Thurston County.
So far in 2012 the LRO has donated:
$2000- to Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association Scholarship Fund
$1000- to the South Puget Sound Community College Scholarship Fund
$500- est. for Kids 3k
Last year if a participant registered online they could choose to donate to: Big Brothers, Big Sisters of SW WA, Capital Lakefair, Capitol Land Trust, Hands on Children’s Museum and the Swarthout Foundation. We hope to see some of our runners challenge others to be part of these worthy causes. If your group would like to be part of this program let us know by e mailing:
