Race Results For November 22, 1998 Location: Langus Riverfront Park - Everett, WA. Distance: 2.3 miles Email at: rtown22@aol.com A windy day met the competitors at the North Sound Runners River Run Series. Although hampered by the wind on the east side of the course the runners were greeted by a tail wind for the final mile. On his way home from the Apple Cup Bud Anderson of Anacortes stopped by and took the win becoming the third different winner for the 1998-99 River Run Series and the fourth different winner going back to the 1997-98 River Run Series. Turtle Van Dalen of Marysville showed his consistency with his third top three finish of the year with all three times being within four seconds. Third place overall was Richard Andrews of Mukilteo who is preparing to run the Seattle Marathon on November 29 and the Tuscon Marathon the next week. The next race of the series will be held on December 27, 1998, prime time to work of those Christmas goodies.
