Dawg Dash 6K offers a unique running experience Fun is the name of the game at this annual run by John Scroggs
With more than 2,000 runners and walkers expected to navigate the 6-kilometer course, Dawg Dash has become an annual favorite for all ages. Kids, college students, serious runners and of course-the occasional dog return each year for this run through the University of Washington campus. The 14th annual UW Alumni Association Dawg Dash fun run & walk is scheduled for Sunday, Oct.24, beginning at 9 a.m. at Husky Stadium.
Racers will be serenaded by the Husky Alumni Band along the course and arrive back at the Husky Stadium finish line to the music of STAR 101.5 Radio. Participants can also relax with a massage from Ashmead College students and enjoy a variety of food and beverage samples from race sponsors.
Prizes will be awarded to top male and female finishers in nine age categories. In addition, the top overall male and female finishers will win two round trip tickets on Southwest Airlines.
Race registration is $18 for UW Alumni Association members and UW students, and $23 for all others. Day of race registration is $28 for all participants. Entry fee includes a long-sleeve race t-shirt and post-race reception. Entry forms are available at all University Book Store locations (U-District, downtown and Bellevue), Super Jock 'n Jill (7210 E. Green Lake Dr. N., Seattle), or the UW Alumni Association (1415 N.E. 45th St., Seattle). You may also register on-line by visiting
