SACRAMENTO, Calif.--With a sold-out stadium (23,000 plus), loud crowd
support, good weather and great competition, the 2000 U.S. Olympic Track &
Field Trials continue at the California State University, Sacramento campus.
The event determines the U.S. men's and women's track & field teams for the
2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, and features eight days of
competition over a 10-day span from July 14-23.
There are three distance finals remaining: the Men's 3000 Meter Steeplechase
on Thursday night, July 20 and the Men's and Women's 5000 Meters on Friday
night, July 21.
