Bill Iffrig of Everett, WA, won both the 5000 and 10,000 meters races in the men's 70-74 age group at the 2004 USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held August 5-8, 2004, at Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
Bill won the 5000 meters run in a time of 22:01, in spite of having to run an additional lap due to a lap counting error by the officials. He beat the second place finisher by a minute and 31 seconds.
In the 10,000 meters race Bill's winning margin was even greater, as he won by over eight minutes with a time of 42:03.
These victories by Bill Iffrig are a repeat of his 2003 wins at the USA Masters Championships when he won both races in the 65-69 age group.
