So you just finished that Marathon, or that Iron Man Tri...and you think your pretty tough..right?
Well, think again!
Check out the "Tough Guy Challenge", it takes place at the end of January, often in freezing winter conditions, the Tough Guy race is staged over a course of between seven and eight miles (about 12 kilometers). It consists of a cross-country run followed by an assault course. The organizers claim that running the course involves risking barbed wire, cuts, scrapes, burns, dehydration, hypothermia, acrophobia, claustrophobia, electric shocks, sprains, twists, joint dislocation and broken bones.
This past Sunday, Jan. 31st, the 24th annual Tough Guy Challenge took place on South Perton Farm which is near Wolverhampton, England. The 2010 winner was Paul Jones of Oswestry, England, with a winning time of one hour 18 min. The event drew over 5,000 men and women - each one of them signing the Tough Guy Death Warrant saying "It's my own bloody fault for being here".
