MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. - (January 16, 2007) - Deena Kastor, the world's #1 ranked marathon runner in 2006, has launched her website: DeenaKastor.com. A star in the world of distance running, Deena's new site promises to give insight into who she is and what her personal interests are outside of running in addition to upcoming announcements.
At the Flora London Marathon last April, Kastor, 33, who lives and trains in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., defeated a world class field in 2 hours, 19 minutes, 36 seconds, which made her the 4th fastest woman all-time and the 2006 world leader and produced North American / U.S. records. Also during 2006, the 2004 Olympic Marathon bronze medalist also broke her own U.S. record at the half-marathon distance at Berlin with a 1:07:34.
