A good sized group of runners came out for the November running of the North Sound Runners River Run Series. With this there were several battles that developed. The biggest one was for first place as John Rowley was able to hold off Dave Johnson for the win. Rowley was pushed to one of his best times on the course. Third and fourth place finishers Kenny Johnson and Brian Brouillet did not have another runner in sight as they crossed the finish line. That was not the case for women's winner Pat Fridell as she followed Adam Van Dyke across the line. The big battle was yet to come as Anna Schmitt, Don Schmitt Noah Heidenreich and Mike Heidenreich finished in a pack with only four seconds separating them. Anna used a strong push at the end to take second place in the women's division. This was a race for the kids as four of the finishers were under 15. These strong runners were Kenny Johnson, 15 years old, Holton Schmitt, 14, Anna Schmitt, 12 and Noah Heidenreich, 6. The next race will be on December 24 at 9 a.m.
