Distance: 2.3 miles Men Time Scott Wray 12:41 John Rowley 12:52 Dave Johnson 13:07 Jake Collins 13:27 Kenny Johnson 13:55 Brian Brouillet 14:41 Mike Heidenreich 14:46 Turtle Van Dalen 17:05 Gary Lingenfelter 17:32 Noah Heidenreich 18:43 Women Louise Smith 14:59 Susan Dreihaupt 15:12 Diana Robinson 17:39 Rebecca Breuer 19:18 Mary McKay 14:59 Virginia Fuller 23:32 Good racing highlighted the Christmas Eve running of the River Run Series. Although Santa didn't make it many good runners did. This was the closest margin between the top five and the top ten in the three year history of the series. Scott Wray, the 2000 Triple Crown champion held off John Rowley to take the victory. Dave Johnson, Jake Collins and fifteen year old Kenny Johnson followed close behind. Louise Smith outran Susan Dreihaupt of Las Vegas to take the women's side with 2000 Triple Crown champion Diana Robinson taking third while running with her dog. Another good effort was put out by six year old Noah Heidenreich as he bettered last months time.
