Daylight savings time ends on November 6. Turn back the clock and celebrate that “extra hour” with a fun & healthy challenge.

Brief Description
Q. What is the only day of the year that has 25 hours? The first Sunday in Nov.
when Daylight Savings ends and we turn clocks back 1 hour. Celebrate that
"extra hour" with a fun and healthy challenge! Start & finish at
the beautiful Rainier Vista Community Park and enjoy portions of the scenic
Chehalis-Western Trail. The 1 mile is a safe route within & adjacent to the
Park. You'll enjoy lovely, relatively flat courses and the camaraderie of others
too. RAIN OR SHINE, YOU'VE GOT THE TIME!

Help Kids!
Proceeds & donations from Turn Back the Clock will support our Parks &
Recreation youth programs. We provide partial scholarships and free events so
every family can benefit from community recreation. We work hard to stretch
every dollar - Thank You for helping us serve kids!
10k Run & 5K Run/Walk
$17 entry fee thru Oct 24 (Certified courses, mile splits, water stations &
sanicans on route, chip timing, age group medals, door prizes and more!)
1 Mile Event
$6 entry fee thru Nov 6. Kids, adults, friends, family and individuals of all
ages encouraged to challenge themselves on this safe course within Rainer Vista
Park. The 1 Mile is an untimed event, but a display clock will be at the finish
line so you can note your result! Every participant that crosses the finish line
receives an award.
After Oct 24
After October 24, signs up are still open directly through the Race Office. Call
360-491-0857, M-F, 8am - 5pm. There is an additional $5 for 10k or 5k
registrations after Oct 24 so save some money and sign up early!
$13 Tech Shirt
Technical fabric, long-sleeved with full-color custom event logo. Adult &
youth sizes - but only while supplies last! Don't wait, only a limited number of
these full color custom-designed shirts are made available each year!
$8 Short-sleeved T-shirt
Cotton/Poly blend, short-sleeved Event T-shirt with custom-designed logo. Adult
& Youth sizes. Don't wait, sizes sell out fast!
Packet Pick-Up
Pre-registered participants can pick up their race packet on Friday, November 4,
7am - 6pm at Lacey City Hall (420 College St SE, 98503) or Saturday, Nov 5, 11am
- 6pm at Rainier Vista Park. See you there!
Day of Event
Day of Event Registration: 6:30am - 8:00am at Rainier Vista Park. Cash or check
only on day of event please. (Additional $5 fee for 5K or 10K Day of Event
Registration.)

10k Run (Re-Certified Course) 10k map
9:00am start time
Relatively flat route begins at Rainier Vista Community Park, heads west on 45th, south on Chehalis Western Trail (CWT), takes a short loop around Horizon’s Elementary School, returns to Rainier Vista via the CWT, 45th and Parkside Street. Each mile clearly marked and split times announced. On course water stops and
sanicans. Professional timing.
1st – 3rd award medals in each age group, special prize for overall winners and door prizes.
5k Run / Walk (Re-Certified Course) 5k map
9:15am start time
Flat course begins at Rainier Vista Community Park, heads west on 45th, short jaunt north on
Chehalis Western Trail, U-turn and return to the Park. Each mile clearly marked and split times announced. On course water stops and
sanicans. Professional timing.
1st – 3rd award medals in each age group, special prize for overall winners and door prizes.
1 Mile Family Event (non –timed)
10:15am start time
Families, friends and individuals of all ages can enjoy this 1 mile challenge! This is a safe, friendly, flat course which begins and ends at Rainier Vista Community Park. The 1 mile is not an officially timed event or certified course, but we will have a timer on display so you can note your result.
Award for each participant who crosses the finish line.
Guidelines
Strollers & wheelchairs welcome. No bikes, skates or pets please. fees are
non-refundable. Race proceeds & donations benefit Lacey Parks &
Recreation youth programs. Thank you for helping us serve kids!
Water Stations & Sanicans
Restrooms at Rainier Vista Park + 2 sanican locations on each route for 5k &
10k. 2 water stations on each route plus an additional water station at
start/finish.
Timing
We are proud to provide professional chip timing for accurate times & quick
results in our 5K & 10K.
Awards
1st - 3rd medals in each age group for 10K and 5K plus additional special prizes
for overall winners of each race. Each finisher of the One Mile Family Event
receives a Finishers Award.
Door Prizes
All pre-registered participants are automatically entered into the door-prize
drawing. Winner's race numbers posted in awards area at finish line. Be sure to
check the board after your race to see if you won! We will also have a special
prize drawing during the awards ceremonies for 5k & 10k!
Sales Tax
The Washington State Department of Revenue has determined that our event is
subject to retail sales tax and we must comply with the requirements of the law.
Accordingly, we have adjusted all our prices this year to include sales tax.
(For example, the $17 registration fee for the 5k & 10k represents15.64 +
tax). Wish it weren't so, but there it is!

10K & 5K courses were professionally measured and re-certified in 2010.
Certification Numbers: WA10042MN & WA10041MN (These courses are also
registered as Crimestoppers Race Against Crime routes.)
