Every May I compete in the running leg of the Ski-to-Sea multi-sport
relaye in Bellingham, WA. It is a short run (8.5 mi), but there is a 2,000
foot elevation drop. This race seems to take longer than a marathon to
recover from. Any advice on how to train for a downhill race to maximize
performance and minimize recovery?
